Black is a male character from pivot animations created by [[User:Kornelbut|Kornelbut]] on their youtube channel. He's the most used character out of any, due to pretty much being the straw man of the cast.

Black's appearance changed through-out the years due the the animation quality and style changing:
*Late 2017, Black's appearance was of the default Pivot Animator stick figure
*2018, He has a white filled head and is noticeably shorter
*Late 2020, He's as tall as he was in the beginning, and has a much thicker outline
*2022, His head fill is transparent

The most sane of the cast, and also can be considered the main character. Black's very down to earth when it comes to whatever's happening in the mazes, even if it's complete randomness. This and his overall monotone and sarcastic personality make it hard for him to deal with others' bullshit, often not dealing with them at all or completely losing his mind. Despite this however, he's not against forming friendships with others. Even if he doesn't reason with them, he's caring albeit careless in regards to how he threats them, due to him knowing they wouldn't care one bit. Holding R fast forwards cutscenes throughout the game and several sections of NPC dialog eg. talking to paper toads when you rescue them in missions.

In general, methods for clipping with M&L rely on manipulating Luigi’s position so that he comes out of bounds with you.

Watch videos below and play around with it and try to get it as consistent as you can!

Route:

Hold R and mash intro (diagonal jump up to the crack)

Toad mission (Stairs, ML block 3, Lamp, left block, shadow, peach).

Easy mode on.

[Castle Escape], talk to lakitu, goomba battle. Jump on each of them once, then finish them off (you cannot kill either of them before the scripted first two attacks are complete).

Release and repress R to fast forward Bowser cutscene.

Hit M&L blocks for gate, tutorial battle 2 (hit action command defensives to skip a few lines of text and having to say no to a demonstration)

Up to [RAPS1] or left to [RAPS2 (faster)], right loading zone. Note with RAPS2 as M&L you have to go around OoB and enter loading zone from the right.

Head to lakitu info centre for Paper Toad Rescue.

Aim for PM preemptives (4 damage), note mario does 6 to paper, PM does 5 to either, goombas have 8 hp. adjust damage to skip turns where possible.

PM crack toad, left to screen two, up to music notes avoiding encounters, preemptive goomba as before (mash level ups). Left and down to dash socks, back up to running toad.

Dash right two screens from lakitu centre.

[Clip to north loading zone], papercraft goomba cutscene.

Dash north, round up toads. Dashing in circles is the best way to shepherd them to the left. Mash cutscene, PM pen escape, south as solo PM.

[Papercraft goomba skip as PM (skips desert cutscene)], east (careful of weird camera, spiny encounters crash the game) to make nabbit jump over but don't follow (cutscene softlocks as PM). Return to pen to collect M&L, dash back to desert to nabbit cutscene and drill bros attack.

Chase Nabbit right, keep dashing into next screen, dash right after cutscene to Kameks CS.

Dash left to [Nabbit skip], chase Nabbit east to Trio Hammer CS.

Dash all the way back to the pen. [PM solo save reset in the house to get WTW]. Dash to Gloomy Woods. Note this video shows a decent chunk of what comes next!

Go one screen left, straight back to the right, stop dashing as you move north (otherwise you run into a CS that ends WTW and blocks your path). Head directly right through the wall and around to the LZ. North one screen. North again but be aware that you need to avoid two CS triggers in this room. The easiest way to do this is follow the flowers slightly to the left, then head all the way oob and head back down from behind the top LZ.

Head into the lakitu info centre and flash the menu to end WTW. Head back out and talk to the stump where the wiggler will offer to fly you to mt brrr. Head right (avoid dashing onto the ice, as you will slip!) through the ??? cutscene into the Trio Drill CS. Dash after you get pulled out of the ground, drill again, dash down right twice, up right twice. Jump over, dash left, drill past the two blocks and dash to the left. Head back down to Gloomy Woods. Dash south, entering the Kamek CS for cutscene storage.

Drill into the wall and head [OoB to the west]. This uses a Trio Drill fast forward dash to get OoB. Finding the LZ here can be a little awkward; get used to the path you are taking by watching your position on the bottom screen.

Head to the west LZ. Dash up and around. Use the wall next to the stairs to line up with the blocks and jump across, head down and around to the left. Clip through the gate. A consistent way to do this is to clip into the gate as Trio Drill and fast forward dash to the left. Head to the PM web and hit the block to get solo Luigi. Save reset to get Luigi back to normal speed.

(Optional: Head right and then back left to reset the camera.) [Fence clip] and head to the south LZ. [Clip through the stairs] and head around OoB to the southwest LZ. Walk to lakitu info centre and flash the menu. Dash up-left to get mario to fall back in bounds. Exit.

Jump in the pipe and head to North Gloomy Woods. Dash down to the lakitu centre and get [Flyby Toad Storage]. It may help you to follow [this route when M&L are OoB]. Perform the Trio Drill Clip (shown in the first video) to get back to wiggler and fly up to Mt Brrr.

Note: with Flyby Toad Storage, any non-boss battle will crash the game.

Toad village pipe CS. [Mt Brrr tunnel before CS clip]. In the tunnel, head back out to get CS storage. Dash up the stairs to the left and Drill into the wall. Fast forward drill dash upwards once, then left to get OoB. [Head oob to the top left LZ].

Avoid the shy guys as you dash right. Hit the left button with Trio Hammer, dash down and around avoiding encounters and [drill clip to hit the right button early]. Drop down and head up to King Bob-Omb. Deliberately die to the first round of bombs, and choose “Return to the title screen without saving” to perform the [Instant Battle Glitch]. (Choosing this option in boss battles causes the game to proceed as if you won the batte. Explained/shown here.) Mash through the CS up to NBC. You now have all abilities!

Head to the right screen to clear the CS, same for left screen, hitting the lower button on the way. Go back down to Mt Brrr pipe and head to toad village and lakitu information centre. Head up to the arcade and perform Arcade Save Storade on the Toad Trail Attackathon. (Rightmost machine. Start game, fail, game saves. Reset to exit toad storage and avoid crashing the game.)

[Fire Ore Skip]. This series of glitches is complicated! Watch the video!

Use WTW to go around the bridge, and up to the elevator. After triggering the first Kamek CS, head back down and Trio Plane across the unloaded bridge. Exit NBC and pipe to the village, lakitu centre and get Flyby Toad Storage a second time. This time you have Trio Drill so the clip is much easier. Use Trio Plane and Hammer to head to the pipe without having to clib OoB again. Head up to Kamek fight, flying over the unloaded bridge again. IBG. Info, quit back to lakitu centre. Turn off easy mode. Forgetting to do this wastes several minutes in the worst case.

Get [Freeze Out Storage] (shown at the start) using Trio Drill then Grab, pipe back up to NBC and enter the gauntlet. Fast forward CSs and try not to accidentally say retry when using IBG. Run to the platform after the gauntlet and say yes to head up to the final battle. Die one more time. GG!

Timing ends when the screen fades after everyone leaves the castle to go to the parade.
