The '''Argotia Pokalo''' ([[Esperanto]] for '''Argotian Cup''') is the primary international [[football]] tournament contested among [[Argotia]]n national football teams. The previous tournament was held in [[Novaria]] while the next tournament will be held in [[Esperantujo]].
==Format==
The tournament works in the following manner as of the 2024 edition:
*The 40 national teams outside of the automatically qualified host nation are drawn into ten groups of four. The winners of each group qualify directly for the Argotia Pokalo.
*The group runners-up advance to the playoffs, where there are five two-legged home and away fixtures. The winners of each tie qualify for the Argotia Pokalo.
*The 16 teams are grouped into four groups of four. The group winners and runners-up advance to the knockout stage.
*The knockout stage consists of the quarterfinals, semifinals, and ultimately, the final that will determine the champions of Argotia.
==Eligibility to host the competition==
The overall minimum capacity is 5,000 spectators, though 10,000 is recommended. The venue for the finals must hold at least 40,000 spectators.
