fermata is kind of a socially awkward killjoy who doesn't care about the fact that she sucks at talking to people. she's smart, and determined, and has a strong sense of rules and justice. she cares a lot about safety. has a tendency to get easily annoyed.

== Abilities ==
Fermata is a representation of a concept, not an object. This provides her with abstract dimensionality and abilities.

Concepts have strange bodies. Fermata doesn't need to eat, and finds the idea weird. She's also split into two distinct sections that never change position relative to one another.

Lots of people you might think are objects are actually concepts! Or, maybe one category lies within another?

As a fermata, she has the ability to lengthen whatever is placed under her, but only if it is suitably dramatic. This is an extension (haha) of a fermata's note stretching. It's unclear if it only works in terms of spatial length, or if other statistics could be changed.

Fermata has never smiled. It's not like she can't, she just doesn't want to, and doesn't do it naturally, and isn't good at it. It's not weird, or anything, right?

However, sometimes deception prevails. 

The rare Smiling Fermata is an impostor of the original. It goes around tricking people, pretending to be Fermata for its own gain. Even those who know Fermata closely can be mistaken for thinking that Fermata is in a rare display of openness and affection (this is known as "[[gap moe]]").
