The American speedrun is a speedrun that requires the runner to reach the capitals of all countries and territories of the Americas.

Deluxe American speedrun

The deluxe American speedrun adds the capitals of Canadian provinces, and U.S. and Brazilian states (except Hawaii) to the list of capitals to visit. Despite this, the runner still must go to Ottawa, D.C., and Brasília as part of the speedrun.
