What even counts as AI these days, anyways? And when will we stop using AI as a noun? This table answers one of those questions.
| AI must interact with the user in a human and social way. | AI interfaces directly with the user, but in a way that enhances the specialized purpose of a program. | The workings of AI can be opaque to the end user. | |
| AI must learn and evolve based on feedback given by external stimuli. | "ChatGPT is an AI" | "Quick, Draw! is an AI" | "MarI/O is an AI" |
| AI must have been trained on a large dataset, but doesn't necessarily have to continually evolve. | "Markov chains are AIs" | "The thing on the 3DS that let you make Miis by taking a selfie is an AI" | "The iPhone keyboard is an AI" |
| AI can make decisions based on a hard-coded algorithm. | "ELIZA is an AI" | "Excel formulas are AI" | "Glover for the Nintendo 64 is an AI" |
how do we know what's ai everything is senseless cause there's no consensus
Neural networks
Neural networks separate inputs into a series of observed patterns called clumps. Clumps connect to each other in weighted paths called groves. A neural network's accuracy is measured by its clumpiness. The more accurate a neural network is on a set of data, the "clumpier" it is.
On The Wiki Camp 2
The Wiki Camp 2 uses AI to track your IP address and determine which devices to serve pages to. So immoral, so sad.
