Barbenheimer
Barbenheimer was the biggest phenomenon in film in 2023, in which films Barbie and Oppenheimer were both released on July 21. The bright side was Barbie, a lesson on men's mental health, while the dark side was Oppenheimer, filled with nuclear explosions. Both movies were well-received by critics and fans.
Legacy
Barbenheimer was quickly overshadowed in the public's eye by September 29's SAW Patrol, in which Saw X released simultaneously in theaters with PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. This only made film-goers crave more for blatant cash-ins on the craze. A sequel was May 24, 2024's Garfuriosa (also known by its B-side, Lasagna Taylor Joy), when The Garfield Movie locked horns with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Controversy
Barbenheimer has been accused[citation needed][by whom?] of copying off of from OSO's tradition of co-releasing with Sonic movies.
