The bonbon is the ideal delectable confection. It is made out of pure flavor and joy. Much as an oyster produces its culminating pearl only once a lifetime, so too does a chocolatier produce only a single unique bonbon. Also like pearls, imitation bonbons are mass-produced, though despite sharing similar appearances and naming, these are only a vague mimicry of the real thing.

Each bonbon holds a memory.
Ammunition
Bonbons can be loaded into a bonbonblaster as ammo. The resulting shot is very powerful, but very few situations justify the cost.
Chocolate
Bonbons most resemble the goodie chocolate. Their structures are indeed very similar, but bonbons hold enough unique properties that they are distinguishable enough.
