Chicken Game 100% Walkthrough (COMMENTATED)
Hey guys, GridRiddler1312 here, and today we'll be going through the Chicken Game. Now I know a lot of people think this game is hard, and it is, but stick around and I hope this video will be a good resource if you're perhaps stuck or missing something. So yeah, let's just jump into it.
Part 1

Now we begin Chicken Game here. It's actually pretty easy at first, but of course this game is notorious for its difficulty spike, so think of this as the calm before the storm. It's also a good breather if you're restarting after losing. Now, for first-time players, this part seems innocuous. This part actually has a pretty advanced technique I'll get into later, but for now let's keep moving.
Part 2

Now here's where things get interesting. Always read the directions first, they say, and Chicken Game is no exception. In fact, it is vital that you read this in order to progress properly. This isn't the kind of game that you can just skip the dialogue in, haha. [Music] Now, what it's saying here is to not look at the Chicken. What this reveals to us is the end state of this game, which is looking at the Chicken. Right now, there is no chicken, so it's a pretty easy rule to follow, but that's all gonna change soon.
Part 3 (SPOILERS)
THIS PART CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE CHICKEN GAME. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SPOILED, NOW IS THE TIME TO CLOSE OUT THIS VIDEO AND PLAY THE GAME YOURSELF. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Alright, here's where everybody messes up at. This part can be a little frustrating, so buckle up. Let's analyze this piece by piece. First thing we see is a curved arrow. Now, usually arrows are meant to aid our attention, and this one is no different. But this arrow is actually a trap! If your eyes were to follow this arrow, and continue in the direction where it's pointed, you would actually end up looking straight at the Chicken!
Now, here's something not a lot of people get at first. Even though the words "GAME OVER" are in the middle of the chicken, looking at any part of the chicken results in a fail state. Anywhere that's not the chicken is fair game.
And that's the game! Pretty climactic ending, huh?
Strats
Now that we know the parts to Chicken Game, let's find out easy ways to beat it.
Text stalling
Text stalling is when you actually don't continue onto Part 3 and instead hang around Parts 1 or 2. What this does is it allows you to avoid looking at the chicken, while still engaging in the game itself (since the game only starts once you initiate Part 1). Text stalling is pretty simple, though often looked down upon in the community as being cheap, and since you never reach Part 3 this way, it doesn't count as 100% beating the game.
Negative space glitch
This is an interesting and controversial one. The negative space glitch (NSG) can be found in Part 3. It involves the "GAME OVER" text area. Players of the game have found that this area does not actually constitute as part of the chicken. Therefore, ironically, looking at it will not result in a lose state, and you're able to look at it indefinitely. Now, even though the game does not recognize it as part of the Chicken, many communities consider NSG an invalid tactic as it was clearly not intended.
Rule sequence break
While the rules of chicken game seem pretty simple, that doesn't make it immune from a pretty beefy sequence break. By skipping the word "Don't" in Part 2, the rules can then be modified to read "look at this Chicken." Users of this strat argue then that by looking at the Chicken in Part 3, they are in fact winning Chicken Game. Needless to say, this is pretty controversial.
Not looking at the Chicken
This is the hardest yet most impressive strategy. It requires you to reach Part 3, after which you must not look at the chicken. Of course, the chicken takes up a lot of space in the game, and the arrow may even lure you in to looking at it, but if you avoid these hazards, you'll be able to win Chicken Game. One easy way of performing this strat is to focus on the grass around the chicken's feet, since it is more likely to keep your attention than the plain white background.
