Exiles

An Exile is a fictional character that has stayed in the confines of the Real World for more than 24 hours. They are perpetually stuck in the Real World (better known as Universe 000001 to some), with there being no hope of escaping. Exiles are distinguishable by the red X (referred to as a Curse) on each of their bodies at appears once they become an Exile: A grim reminder of the torment they must endure for the rest of their days.
Further Information

Although the punishment of becoming an Exile is amongst the worst in the Multiverse, many do not know of its validity. Most of the few fictional characters aware of the Real World’s existence hesitate to even enter, due to it being supposedly "drab and boring" compared to their universes. Most of those who do make the venture are usually never aware or informed of the consequences, and almost certainly never return, most likely becoming Exiles themselves.
For those who do become Exiles, life is especially rough. Supernatural/magical abilities are extremely weakened in the Real World, and any ability or device that allows them to contact beings outside their dimension is somehow prohibited by the properties of the universe they're now in. As a result, humans in the Real World are often much more powerful than most Exiles in their weakened state, and can easily kill or overwhelm them with force.
It should be of note that those who are accustomed to or train to hone their supernatural physical abilities are capable of surpassing real humans in strength. Exiles with supernatural abilities are also able to recoup portions of their lost power, but it requires immense strength to do so.
Isolation

Humans of the Real World, who are not accustomed to the existence of beings from other dimensions, often have an irrational fear of Exiles once they are spotted, and attempt to flee or kill them on sight. Because of this, Exiles often live together in remote areas, away from residents of the Real World. Exiles are often found living together in "settlments", complete with their own technologies and rudimentary civilizations.
Banishment

As discussed earlier, Exiles are perpetually disallowed to leave the Real World. If an Exile attempts to escape the Real World, mystical properties release a jolt of supernatural lighting into their curse, electrocuting the Exile and pulling them away from whatever exit they find. If an Exile somehow leaves the Real World, unknown forces slowly start to deteriorate the Exile over time, giving the Exile roughly an hour to return to the Real World and undo the effects of the deterioration. If they are unsuccessful, the Exile slowly melts into a hostile mutant, its mind scrambled and memories erased.
Solutions
Currently, there have been no solutions discovered that can remove the Curse from a fictional character's body, and thus remove their Exile status. There is, however, a way in which fictional characters can visit the Real World without becoming an Exile themselves. There are also several fictional characters/beings not from the Real World who are unaffected by the properties of the Real World and therefore immune to becoming an Exile, most notably Jeremy and members of the Celestial Echelon.
Permits

Permits are one-use magical slips of paper created by Cersti, the Permit Maker. Using her abilites, she can create passes to the Real World that allow for fictional characters to visit the dimension for however long they wish. Depending on how pure the soul is of a fictional character, Cersti can extend the date in which the Permit can allow the character to exist in the Real World. The more pure the character, the longer they can stay, with the most evil of beings only getting to obtain a 12-hour pass.
Permits can be redeemed by going to Jeremy, the clerk. Jeremy is an omnipresent being in the Real World, and his presence stops anyone from entering without a Permit. Once the Permit is given to Jeremy, the energies of the slip are transferred into the fictional character, and only then are they allowed access into the Real World.

Just don't go to the Real World
just don go there bro
Trivia
- Due to fears of objects becoming Exiles due to challenges or game-mechanics that may send them to the Real World OOSRA strictly prohibits objects competing in game-shows to visit the Real World, instead providing identical dimensions to eager hosts to send their competitors to when their game calls for it.
- The Divine Goddess does not care about this restriction, and has encouraged those on the Camp Grounds to visit the Real World. This technically makes TDG a level-two-and-a-half criminal.
- Most Exiles are extremely depressed.
- Most Exiles are apart of gangs or other groups in order to evade detection by real humans and to steal and plunder resources from other Exile gangs and communities.
