The Golden Horseshoe bus% speedrun is a speedrun that requires the runner to ride (mostly) bus services operated by six transit agencies from Hamilton to Oshawa or vice versa.
Rules
The run begins upon setting foot on a vehicle while within CF Lime Ridge in Hamilton or Oshawa Central.
The run ends upon setting foot in either of the aforementioned terminals the runner did not start in after having set foot in all of the agencies' buses at least once.
The only methods of transportation permissible are by foot, and services provided by the following:
- Hamilton Street Railway (HSR)
- Burlington Transit
- Oakville Transit
- MiWay
- Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), including Line 1 Yonge–University
- Durham Region Transit (DRT)
Routing
Start at noon.
From CF Lime Ridge in Hamilton, one can make the following trips:
- HSR route 25 Upper Wentworth to the Frank A. Cooke Transit Terminal (20m, departing at 12:11)
- Walk to King at James (3m)
- Burlington Transit route 1 Plains/Fairview to Appleby GO (45m, departing at 12:45)
- Oakville Transit route 14A Lakeshore West to Oakville GO (55m, departing at 1:43)
- Oakville Transit route 24 South Common to South Common Centre (41m, departing at 2:40)
- MiWay route 110 University Express to Mississauga City Centre Transit Terminal (17m, departing at 3:31)
- MiWay route 109 Meadowvale Express to Renforth Station (16m, departing at 3:53)
- TTC route 32 Eglinton West to Eglinton Station (1h11m, departing at 4:09)
- TTC Line 1 Yonge–University to York Mills Rd (6m, departing at 5:30)
- TTC route 995 York Mills Express to University of Toronto Scarborough (57m, departing at 5:45)
- DRT route 900 PULSE to Oshawa Centre (58m, departing at 7:15)
Once completed, you may take any form of public transit, including GO commuter trains, back home.
