Los Angeles (meaning "The Angels" in Spanish) is a very overrated city. This is due, in part, to it being the spiritual home of Hollywood (as in the US film industry), even when films aren't produced in and around LA, giving it the glitz and glamour that people associate with it. It is also very car-centric, and that's bad. Very bad. Thankfully, it has some good enough public transit.
Los Angeles may or may not host the next Olympic Games.
