"Moe's Art" is the firsteenth episode of Season 502 of The Simpsons (animated TV show) and the moest episode overall. It originally aired on St. Patrick's Week, 203X. The episode was written by Homer Simpson and directed by Punished Al Jean. It is the final Moe-focus episoe.
Sypnosis
"After running out of beer, Moe the Grumpy Bartender gets into painting. Marge and Lisa confront Disco Stu."
Plot
We begin at Moe's Diner, on a dark and gloomy day. The usual gang is there: Homer the Oaf, Barney the Oaf, Lenny the Friend, and Carl. All being served by Moe, the grumpy bartender. Another beer, Homer says. I can pay for it. Yeah right pal, thinks Moe. You haven't paid me for a beer for weeks. I think you got laid off and don't want your wife to know. Anyway, Moe goes to fill up the beer cup with beer from his beer-o-matic, but only a spitty dribble comes out, a drop. What the hay, Homer says. You're not trying to cut me off, are you? You know me Homer, Moe says, I never cut anybody off, especially when I don't ask for your car keys. So what gives? Well let me check, I'm sure it's just some clogged pipes. Oh yeah that happens sometimes. Alright be right back. So Moe opens up a hatch behind the bar and climbs down a ladder into his beer reserves. It's a huge tank sewer thing under his building where all the beer is held. But it's bone dry. No beer. Ah geez, Moe thinks. This ain't good. I ain't pay my beer bills and they cut me off. He goes back up.
Sorry guys, I'm out of beer. And I can't pay my beer bill to get it back cus you guys don't pay me, so I'm broke. Homer feels bad. His problem just became Moe's problem, and ruined the store. Alright you guys, get out. I got nothin' here to give ya. SO they all head out and Homer turns around and despondently sees MO change the sign from OPEN to SORRY WE'RE CLOSED. And it starts raining. Oh, if only it could rain beer, and fill up Moe's pockets. Sadly it's just water, and Homer accidentally drank some of it cus his mouth was open, which removes his drunkenness, so now he don't even got that anymore. Truly, Springfield has run out of alcohol.
Moe: Ah geez, what am I gonna do now? I gotta pass the time until I get more money. How am I gonna get money? Oh I know, Moe thinks. He pulls out his iPhone and sees a story. A modern art painting just got sold for 1 million dollars. Of course, I can just draw something, and someone will buy it and I can get this beer thing going again. So Moe goes to scraping the paint off his walls in order to get paint for his painting. So now his whole inside interior is just gray. And he gets to painting, but he doesn't have any ideas. So he calls Homer and asks for ideas, and Homer says you should paint beer, I would buy that for my home. Good idea.
Marge, and Lisa, get together and confront Disco Stu.
So Moe gets to painting a drawing of a nice cup of beer. He's like hang on, this is actually pretty stinking fun. I don't need beer to get high, I can just paint and feel happy. Cut forward to a few years and Homer comes in. Moe, are you done painting yet? Is the bar open now? No Homer, Moe trills, I quit beer forever. I only paint now. Check it out. He brings Homer to the mysterious back room, and there are tons of canvanses of beer paintings. Moe, if you hate beer now, why do you draw it so much? Well Homer, it's the only thing I know, and they say paint what you know. Damn, said Homer, how am I going to fix this? We need Moe back, and we need beer back. So Homer hatches a devious plot. While Moe is on a bathroom, Homer steals all his paintings in a heist, involving Carl, Lenny, and Barney. When Moe comes back, he is ruined to find all his beloved paintings missing. He cries, and says the only way to numb the pain and not make it go away is to drink alcohol and get drunk. Now drunk, Moe realizes how much he missed beer, so he opens his place up again. Homer and everyone high fives for saving the day.
Production
This episode was the most deadly to make. No one died, so it is tied for that spot.
