My Salsa is an unreleased song by American rapper Eminem, originally teased in D12's song My Band. Despite Eminem claiming in the song that My Salsa would be his next single, this statement would turn out to be false, as his next single after My Band was actually "Just Lose It". As of 2023, Eminem still has yet to release My Salsa.

Controversy

Controversy is just the job for Eminem, and the My Salsa scandal is no different. Many fans felt betrayed that Marshall promised his audience the saucy-themed single only for him to not release it for almost two decades. Eminem would fall off following the release of his album Recovery in 2010. While the album reached number one in 16 countries, it most certainly would've been 17 had it included My Salsa.

Theories and speculation

While Eminem has been radio silent on why he hasn't released My Salsa, fans speculate that it may be because of Eminem's growing bond with The Minions, as his career skyrocketed following his partnership with the yellow mascots. Eminem simply doesn't seem interested in releasing new music nowadays, as now he makes his success off of The Minions. Additionally, Eminem has famously stated in an interview "My life before The Minions doesn't matter. It isn't even worth mentioning. Forget it.", implying he wants to leave his past life and promises behind him.
