One of the most famous railway networks in the world is Japan's Shinkansen, also known as the bullet train. Meaning "new main line", it's the OG high-speed rail network, beginning service in 1964. Trains now whizz across the country at speeds of up to 320 km/h.

Photographers tend to capture Shinkansen trains passing by Mount Fuji.
