Oh that's awesome, CSS variables are indeed powerful (demonstrated well by this page). I'm like 95% sure that the reason for the change is the MediaWiki version upgrade; iirc the sanitization the CSS extension uses is some core function that was changed in newer versions of MediaWiki. --FallingPineapples (talk) 01:57, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
