Paul John Hollywood is an English celebrity chef and television presenter, best known for being a judge on The Great British Bake Off since 2010. He began his career at his father's bakery as a teenager and went on to serve as head baker at a number of hotels around Britain and internationally. The son of a baker, Paul originally trained as a sculptor until his father persuaded him to change careers. By combining his love of sculpting and baking, Paul established himself as an innovator. Paul is a Master Baker and has worked in some of the most exclusive hotels in the world including the Dorchester in London. He may be an artisan baker, but Paul always keeps a load of sliced white bread in his bread bin as he claims it makes the best bacon butty! He owns an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, a high-end Range Rover, and a Bennetton Formula 1 car. For more on Paul Hollywood's car collection and the reason for its sudden decrease in size. During the move, he reportedly signed a whopping three year deal for £1.2million. This would make his annual salary for the show £400,000 which is reportedly four times more than his BBC salary. In 2017, he crossed the Atlantic to work as a judge on the US version of the show, The Great American Baking Show. It's surprising Paul can tell, given that it was only revealed in this series that he's actually colourblind. So in all these series of Bake Off, has he not been able to see the often garish colours of the icing on the showstopper cakes? 'It's only shades of green and some blues,'
