Disappointment Island is a horrible place located within the Auckland Islands south of New Zealand. This depressing isle consists of only albatrosses, no fur seals, unlike Abraham Bristow hoped for.

Disappointment Island circa 1909 CE

Notable Events

In 1807, Abraham Bristow was searching for fur seals and, unfortunately, came across Disappointment Island. He didn't find any fur seals.

100 years later, in 1907, the boat Dundonald sank near Disappointment and, disappointingly, fourteen of the twenty-eight men died before rescue. Disappointment has not been charged for this and remains at large.
