The Reddit Zone is a demilitarized zone in the Virtual World. It is home to millions of active communes, each typically led by a council. The Reddit Zone is pluralist and has a high concentration of based flags.

Like in Wikiland, Reddit Gold is the currency.

Communes

Though we wouldn't necessarily know the exact names of each commune, there are a few abstract ideas:

  • r/aviation's city of 1.6M would be an avgeek's paradise, with one of the largest and busiest airports in the Reddit Zone. It is like a daily air show, with aircraft of all kinds stopping by, from helicopters and airships to wingsuits and jetpacks.
  • r/Christianity's 450K-strong city is a rather welcoming community to visitors. Its Christian population is mostly Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, and/or Lutheran.
  • r/funny's city of around 56 million would be the largest in the Reddit Zone, even bigger than Tokyo!
  • r/nfl's city of around 6.8 million would be home to some of the most prominent American football clubs in the Reddit Zone, boasting two stadiums with at least 80,000 seats. It would be no stranger to soccer, though.
  • r/Paladins has a museum based on the game. Each district is themed on a particular champion.
  • r/place's three cities would be diverse. Inspired by Barcelona, each pixel would correspond to a city block. Pixels at the border of panels would correspond to the main arteries of each city. Each city would also have a large train station and an airport, as it seems like a hassle to get out of an incredibly wide city by car.
  • r/seals's town of 44,000 would lie along a saltwater body, like an ocean or salt lake. There would be seals aplenty, as most are saltwater species.
  • r/soccer's city of around 6 million would be home to at least two big football clubs with stadiums with at least 80,000 seats.
  • r/trains would be a railfan's paradise, with a bustling train station and an extensive tram and metro network.
  • r/vexillology's city of 655K has a museum of flags, headlined by the Hall of Fame complete with all the previous contest winners blowing in the wind.

Transport

The Reddit Zone's preferred mode of intercommunal transport is trains. Even the smallest communes have a train station close by. Many communes have a bus network, while larger communes also have tram and metro networks.

As the Reddit Zone is vast, many people use high-speed trains and airplanes for longer-distance trips.

Sports

The domestic governing bodies of each sport divide the Reddit Zone into multiple regions to avoid numerous problems. Thus, in the domestic leagues, teams play other teams from their respective regions instead of throughout the Reddit Zone.

Football is the predominant sport in most communes of the Reddit Zone.
