Story Mode
Story Mode is one of the gameplay options in The Wiki Camp 2. It is a single player mode in which the player traverses stages as various characters to collect a Challenge Crystal. Completing a character's route will unlock Alt Mode for said character.
History
Story Mode was introduced a short while after the game launched, in a free content update.
Plot
Story Mode is different depending on which character you decide to play as, but has the same goal for each character. Players must collect all the Challenge Crystals to break the Redlink Prison that The Divine Goddess is trapped in. There are various worlds to go through, such as Laughterless Lands, the Uncanny Valley, this Specific Ocean, Rainbow Route, and many more.
Characters
Every competitor is playable, with purchasable DLC also available for non-competitor characters such as Mr. Snrub, Spike, Vriska, and This Is Bob.
The story may change significantly depending on which character you start as, and you are unable to change characters on a save file without restarting.

Head of Lettuce - The Head of Lettuce route starts with thon realizing there is a Challenge Crystal in the White House. Thon goes to great lengths to attain presidential power and collect more Challenge Crystals along the way.

Emoticon - Emoticon's route deviates from normal gameplay, being more of a set of puzzle minigames in which Emoticon must traverse through different pages of the wiki and eventually real life documents to find a Challenge Crystal hidden outside of the wiki itself.
Mangrove - Starting out in a dense city overgrown with moss, this challenge requires craftsmanship. In order to locate this challenge crystal, you'll have to figure out a way to find its location and retrieve it. Fortunately, there are enough materials and gadgets around the city to help your quest, including maps, guidebooks, and technology.
Toy Blocks - The challenge crystal is in sight, but suspended high above the hub world map. You must run around and gather numerous blocks hidden around the various maps so you can reach it. The final challenge to retrieve the crystal is a stacking minigame, which had mixed reviews on IMDb
Flag - Flag route is locked when first launching the game, and the conditions for unlocking it haven't been found yet.
Padlock - Padlock is about to perform the 'Ultimate Wheelie' on his brand new Razor but misses a step and ends up launching himself to the Specific Ocean, where he discovers there's a treasure hidden on MacGuffin Island.

Tombstone - One can only play as Tombstone (and Gravestone) by selecting the Co-op game mode.
Big Boy - Someone convinces Big Boy's driver to drive around the world in at least 80 days. If he does so, a Challenge Crystal is rewarded. But there's a catch—Big Boy can only fit on standard gauge tracks, so if he has no choice but to travel on broad or narrow gauge, he must ride on a flatcar.
