vivian tf2: did you know? competitive tf2, specifically sixes, doesnt use the same ruleset that pubs do? Matches are either played in KOTH or 5CP. For Koth, it's first to win four rounds (AKA best of 7), as opposed to pubs where it's first to 2/best of 3. In 5cp, it's different. A normal pub has a win limit of 4 "rounds" (in this case, a round is defined as a team capturing all control points), but comp 5cp has a win limit of 5. However, there is a 30 minute time limit across this game that can run out before the win limit is reached, something not seen in pubs (the rounds have a timer that reset to 10 minutes every time a point is capped, but this is a completely separate timer). For matches on 5cp, the overall win condition isn't first to win 5 rounds or anything like that. It's first to win TWO GAMES, so at least two games of first to 5 rounds are played. These games are often called "halves" even thought there can be three of them. I just thought that was interesting. I also thought it was interesting that i put things that were incomprehensible in the notable matches section if you arent a comp tf2 player. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm byebye
