Template:Fake read-only
Makes editable page look like it's read only (like Gacha is). This template can only be used for hijinks, so it always assigns the category.
Has optional arguments:
nobuttons=trueto hide everything on the right except Read. example: Uneditable Pagenoedit=trueto hide the edit buttons after a heading. Occasionally skipped on per-page CSS, so not included by default. example: Intentionally blank pagesspecial=trueto make it look like a special page. example: Search Page That Can't Be Createdcreate=trueto display as if the page does not exist yet.
Bonus tricks:
- Add
{{#css: #t-recentchangeslinked, #t-permalink {display: none;} }}to a page with{{fake read-only|create=1}- This leaves no indication of page existence. Will not be included by default
- On other wikis, the default "Powered by MediaWiki" button may appear slightly lower on a real page, and Parsoid's "Report visual bug" tool has an icon next to it.
- Keyboard shortcuts do not work on the Cosmos (Fandom-like) skin.
