Tetris is a game created by Alex Tetris. He originally wanted it to be a game about pentominoes, but this concept was scrapped when he realized that most of the population cannot count past five, and would therefore make the game unmarketable. Seeing as the gameplay of Tetris involves dropping shapes into holes, it has often been compared to The Toy Where You Put The Shape In The Corresponding Hole.

Pieces
There are seven different pieces in Tetris. Each piece is made of four blocks. In some versions, an eighth piece made of five blocks will appear. This piece is known as "Evil Tim". He looks like long Tim with an extra block.
