You'll Never Walk Alone

You'll Never Walk Alone is the former national anthem of Wikiland. It is a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel.

Adoption by Wikiland

Wikiland is a confederation of 166 groves that came together amid the Reddit War. As You'll Never Walk Alone evokes friendship and love among neighbours, it quickly became popular among the Wikilandian public. It eventually became the national anthem. You'll Never Walk Alone would remain that way until August 2022, when the Ode to Wikiland, an adaptation of World of Goo's Ode to the Bridge Builder, made everyone a little more patriotic.

Usage

Even after the adoption of the new anthem, You'll Never Walk Alone is still famously played before virtually every sporting event in the country, including all domestic and international football, WPB, and WAUCA games, as a song of friendship. Fans in stadiums commonly raise scarves, wave flags, and display tifos during the anthem in support for their team.

Outside of Wikiland

You'll Never Walk Alone is also the anthem of Liverpool FC. Meanwhile, at Wembley Stadium in London, England supporters sang the song during their UEFA Euro 1996 semifinal clash against eventual European champions Germany.

In the year 2192, the Liverpool manager found a teleporter to the Grass World during the Premier League offseason. A year later, they met with NCUFC in the first ever game between teams from two worlds. Before the teams came out, everyone at Specific Stadium—even the thousands of Liverpool fans who made the perilous pilgrimage—raised their scarves while singing You'll Never Walk Alone.
