Curry

Curry is a dish made of sauce seasoned with flaming hot spices.

Despite the notion that Indian curry is so hot, there is no such thing as "curry" in India, at least according to my Lonely Planet book. The Tamil word kari simply refers to a sauce or relish for rice that uses the leaves of the curry tree.
