Drake-o-phone
The Drake-o-phone is a wacky invention created by the smart but crazy scientist Drake. Using the Drake-o-phone he can call the cell phone of ANYONE in the world... But sometimes it will have a silly malfunction and do silly things, like instead of calling the President it'll accidentally call his Drake's Nemesis instead! Whoops!
“ | You used to call me on my Drake-o-phone! | ” | |
— Drake in the self-titled theme song he wrote for the Drake-o-phone |
History
The Drake-o-phone's invention involved much strife on Drake's part, including one time where he accidentally blew himself up with ash in his face when he was trying to make a chemical, and another time where he accidentally made a weirdo robot that seemed nice and totally obedient at first but actually turned out to be evil and wanted to take over the world. He wound up destroying the robot by pointing out a nonexistent Free Battery Store and then jumping upon its back, where he pushed a giant, conspicuous off switch.
After inventing the Drake-o-phone Drake used it to prank call everyone in town. He continued to do this until they all showed up at his house at once so that they could stage an intervention. But he wouldn't listen, so they beat him up until his teeth turned into piano keys. He then swore to use the Drake-o-phone only for good.
Sentience
One time Drake was trying to download Movies Free using the Drake-o-phone's built in wireless capabilities, but instead he downloaded a virus onto it, which was actually set up as a trap by his long time rival, Harrison Ford. Ol' Harry's virus caused the Drake-o-phone to become sentient and heck-bent on destroying him. It did this by calling in orders for nasty things, such as a pipe bomb and the Entire Cast of Villains from Bionicle. Unfortunately nobody could take it seriously due to its lack of limbs and high-pitched robotic voice.
Eventually the Drake-o-phone was able to assemble robotic limbs for itself along with various evil implements, such as flamethrowers and chainsaws, and used them to attempt to destroy Drake's house. However, Drake's friends were able to enter its mind and engaged in a long and symbolic battle against its subconscious, in which they were able to defeat the evil inside it and caused it to become good instead. The Drake-o-phone now acts as Drake's lovable, quirky robot sidekick that is all-capable but gets a little wacky sometimes.
Present day
Even though Drake has now died, the Drake-o-phone still lives and has inherited his status of being an inventor. Some of its creations include a Rube Goldberg machine that cooks an egg for you, and another Rube Goldberg machine that uncooks them. Sometimes the Drake-o-phone has to change its batteries by opening up a compartment in its side and ends up discovering that all sorts of crazy things got stuck in there, such as fish bones and rats and dust bunnies. Upon being asked about Drake, the Drake-o-phone started crying and then shorted itself out due to the tears. It is currently in the hospital but is predicted to make a full recovery.
Critical response
Many critics have derided the Drake-o-phone due to being an unnecessary addition and a sign that Drake was jumping the shark. And to that I say...um...Sucks to suck heeeheee hahahaha
