Football

Football fans are incredibly passionate.

Football, incorrectly known as soccer, is a widely popular team sport of English origin, played between two teams of eleven players on a rectangular pitch. The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team in 90 minutes. Mind you, a goal is scored when the ball goes over the goal line and into the opposing goal.

Football is by far the greatest sport ever. The simplicity, the fans (which occasionally number over 100,000), the rivalries, the passion, the moment a goal is scored. Just... so... ENERGIZING!!

In the United States, the term "football" usually refers to [THE ZEITGEIST], otherwise known as THE SUPER BOWL! YEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH

The Great Football Opinion Poll Quest for Interviews

We interviewed every contestant in The Wiki Camp 2, as well as other notable characters, about football. Here's what they have to say.

Spike
DUDE. THIS IS MIKE AND SPIKE, REPORTING LIVE FROM THE WIKI CAMP 2, AND WE'RE IN THE MOOD FOR FOOTBALL.
Michael Bloomberg
I went to a Las Focas Humpbacks game the other day, and the atmosphere at the stadium was incredible. There are just... so many interesting teams, along with the cultures revolving around them.
Spike
Ture.webp. SO WE HAVE DECIDED TO INTERVIEW EVERYONE ABOUT FOOTBALL. BIG BOY'S DRIVER, YOU'RE UP FIRST.
Big Boy's driver
Yeah?
Spike
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON FOOTBALL?
Big Boy's driver
Well, uh, if you're talking about American football, it's a classic here in the United States. But if you're talking about what we call "soccer", then it's a whole different story. During my first stay in New Cheyenne, I stumbled upon an army of NCUFC fans. At the time, I didn't know soccer was huge here, much like football. I had to see what it was like at the stadium the next day, because let me tell you, the line of fans went for miles. I mean, with a stadium that seats over 110,000 fans regularly getting filled for Wiki League games... that's more seats than the largest in America[1]! The moment I arrived at the stadium, I could already feel game day energy. I was hooked. NCUFC until I die.
Michael Bloomberg
Interesting. Now, outside of Wikiland, what team do you support?
Big Boy's driver
Well, I'm only getting started. Broncos[2]for the win, though.
Michael Bloomberg
Nice. Thanks for your time. Next up, Toy Blocks.
ToyBlocksConfused
huh?wu - what do you want me to say?
Michael Bloomberg
What is your opinion on football?
ToyBlocksJoyous
I'm not really sportspilled, per se, but FC Barcelona's stadium is so huge. And it's getting renovated too. I also like how the other teams in LaLiga are essentially easy targets, so...
Michael Bloomberg
Ah, I see.
ToyBlocksJoyous
Yeah. I like seeing things build up and go down.
Toy Blocks
The game... eh.
Spike
NEXT UP, COPPER PEPPER. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON FOOTBALL?
Copper Pepper
Uhhh, it's OK, I guess.
You know what? We don't need this for now. Not everyone's a big football fan.
