Peas are the teeny tiny larval form of pears, existing before they gain their first r. They are pure green when born, just like a frog. People love these little critters so much due to their delicious taste.
Peas are born clumped together in pods. A single pea grove usually contains six pods with eight peas, accounting for a total of 48 peas.
