Weddell seals (Leptonychotes weddellii) make the weirdest and, dare I say, nerpiest sounds any nerpy boi can ever make. However, they are heard in frequencies way too high for humans to hear. For this reason, many who are contributing to total seal extinction in Antarctica are recommended to use special microphones to track down any nearby Weddell seals.
They can also sound like a 37 year old man named Wilfred.
