Puerto Ayora is a baikalesque port city off the coast of Santa Cruz, one of the Galápagos Islands. It is infamous for its invasive population of Galápagos sea lions that have been known to wander its streets. There is a nearby lagoon, however, that is seal-free, as well as a research centre for the Galápagos tortoise.
