From The Wiki Camp 2
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Wiki Camp 2 is an object camp -styled game where you do challenges by editing a wiki.

It's meant to be lighthearted and not be that stressful, but if you find that it's stressing you out, please take a break. There is no actual prize for winning, so there should be no stakes.

If you have some kind of issue regarding the camp or the server or anyone on it, do not hesitate to contact me about it.

General Rules

  1. NO RACISM AND STUFF LIKE THAT. INSTANT BAN
  2. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BAN PEOPLE WHO SCARE ME
  3. dont SPAM
  4. NO SEX
  5. cussing is allowed
  6. (don't be a dick)
    • Please stop making jokes at the expense of other players' entries, unless you are absolutely 100% certain that they're explicitly fine with it (and even then, err on the side of caution). Playful rudeness is just actual rudeness if you're not sure whether it'll hurt someone.
  7. respect the Blacklist.

Discord rules

  1. avoid interrupting other peoples conversations. thats why we have so many channels
  2. avoid roleplaying in the discord channels, especially if you are not a competitor
  3. tag spoilers for hot topics
    • this includes leaks
  4. Satomi will not answer questions about BFDI

Wiki rules

  1. You are not allowed to edit challenge pages of other competitors. This includes character pages. You will be instantly banned if you do that.
    • You need permission before editing/creating subpages belonging to those. Honor system.
  2. All other pages are fair game! Please create and edit pages! And don't break the rules!
  3. DONT VANDALIZE TH WIKI
  4. redlinks are allowed
  5. unprotected pages are allowed to be edited, unless specifically disallowed (for example, i've specifically disallowed edits to other people's competitor pages)
  6. Outside the parameters of official challenges, you are typically not allowed to own pages. "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then do not submit it here." and so on.
    • This obviously doesn't apply to things like userpages or things people have said and signed on talk pages, which you should leave to the obvious owners.
  7. Pages that threaten to harm a user's browser need to be outside the Main namespace, so they don't come up in Special:RandomPage. Please move them to a Talk: page or something.

Editing Policy

Please note that all contributions to The Wiki Camp 2 may be edited, altered, or in some rare cases removed by other contributors. If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly, or added to, then do not submit it here.

Keep the "yes and" rule in mind, generally, although it won't apply to 100% of situations. For example, Tokens are a situation where this doesn't apply.

You are also promising us that you won't get in trouble for yoinking this from somewhere else if that's where you got it from (see Project:Copyrights for details).

"Please do not paste Moby Dick": One time, someone pasted all of Moby Dick, without reading the whole thing, and it turned out to contain a chapter that was disgusting and violated the Rules. Basically if you're going to dump a large amount of text onto the wiki, be prepared to be held responsible for all of its content.
