Franz Okin (3 July 1883 – 3 June 1924) was a Baikalian researcher and author who specialized in studying the ecology and philosophy of Lake Baikal.
The term "Okinesque" is used to describe concepts and situations reminiscent of Okin's work, particularly Ozero (The Lake) and уродливая печать (The Ugly Seal).
