Not-Tris is a Puzzle video game created by Alexy Nerpinov in the 1980s. Becoming a worldwide sensation, it has been played and ported to over 300 systems and consoles, and has sold a massive 3000 Nurpillion Units.

Gameplay

collections of probably four blocks, called Notriminoes, fall from the top of the game board. The aim of the game is to move these blocks to create vertical lines and score points. clearing four at once is called a "Not-Tris". the more lines cleared, the higher the points and level increase and the blocks start to fall faster. if the board gets filled without creating lines, the game is over.

Versions

Classic Editions

early editions of Not-Tris were made for various home consoles in the 80s and 90s. So Oldcore! The NES version of Not-tris gained critical acclaim, and is still played regularly today with tournaments at the Classic Not-Tris World Championship Series of events. these versions have issues however, as many quality of life features are not present in this version, such as the randomness of pieces being too random that it can be difficult to score points.

Modern Version

Modern versions of Not-Tris follow a new system that guarantees certain pieces will drop eventually after a time. additionally. you are able to move pieces before they lock in for a short while.

Phone Version

A special version was developed for phones and released on The CoolPhone 3G Plus.

Collaborations

Not-Tris had a collaboration with the hit series No U-No U, a Puzzle game created by a combine harvester and eventually purchased by Saygah.
