The Alphabet is the set of all letters in a written language. The English alphabet, for instance, has 26 letters. Each letter typically represents a unique sound, and letters strung together form words.

Appearances in Media
Due to its widespread usage in our day-to-day vocabulary, the Alphabet has been directly referenced in multiple pieces of media over the years, ranging from songs, animated series, and more. Below are a few examples.
- Perhaps most famous of all, the Alphabet Song is a type of List Song, name-dropping the main 26 letters of the alphabet. Reviews of the song describe it as 'tasteless', 'vapid' and 'nothing but showing-off the number of IPs the company managed to license'. A more artistically inspired ditty, abcdefu by Gayle, has since become its de-facto and equally educational replacement.
- The educational song DVNO by the band JUSTICE correctly describes its title as four capital letters. Since 2022, the song is now part of the curriculum of every English as a Second Language class due to just how fax it is.
- The song ABC, by the Jackson Five, describes the set of letters A B C to be as easy as the set of numbers 1 2 3 and as simple as the musical notes do re mi. Critics called this claim unfounded and scored the song 1 2 3 out of 10.
- The Youtube Channel College Humor did their own homage to the institution that is the alphabet in their humorous video titled Everything that will Kill You… From A to Z, that gives an example of potential deadly things for each letter of the alphabet. The video is factually wrong as it goes against Jorly's illness ranking system.
