Zugland, officially the Federal Republic of Zugland, is an island country in the continent of Nerpica, located in the Grass World. It is large and mountainous, with Mount Adler overlooking the island.
Etymology
The name "Zugland" comes from German Zug, meaning train. Zug is what comes next after Zig and Zag.

Zugland's indigenous pinniped species is the Zugish sea lion (Zalophus zuglandensis), though Zugland isn't the only island home to a population; others exist on the other Zugic islands.

Zugish is a Zugic language indigenous to the island. It is similar to the other two languages that comprise the family, similar to the Romance languages like French and Spanish.
Transport
Zugland's transport network is heavily based on public transit. The predominant method of intra-city travel is by bus or tram, while inter-city travel is usually done by train.
