Transport, known in North America as transportation, essentially means going from A to B. There are various modes of transport that go on land, across water, and in air.

Notable modes

Land-based

Animal-powered

Various animals have been used for transport for millennia, including horses, mules, oxen, dogs, reindeer, camels, yaks, llamas, and elephants.

Stroller

Also known as buggies. Useful for strolling around with a baby. Just strap them in and you're good to go.

Wagon

They're pretty heavy, so you'd have to use one or more animals to pull it. That is unless you have a toy wagon, which can easily be pulled by hand.

Bicycle

Means "two wheels". Bicycles are the most popular vehicles in the world, with numbers greatly exceeding cars. Just push those pedals to a certain pace and you're already moving.

Tricycle

It's a bicycle but with three wheels.

Unicycle

It's a bicycle but with only one wheel. It was invented by a unicorn.

Bus

Ah, who doesn't like public transit? Buses are foundational for any decent system, as they have a greater occupancy than cars.

Truck

THEY'RE AWESOME!! WOOOOOOOOO

Motorcycle

Like a bicycle, but faster! VROOM VROOM

Car

JUST ONE MORE LANE BRO, I SWEAR, IT'S GONNA FIX TRAFFIC, JUST ADD ONE MORE LANE, IT'S ALL WE NEED, IT'LL FIX TRAFFIC IN NO TIME

Train

Based. That's all I have to say. Oh, and even better, there are two trains competing in The Wiki Camp 2; one of them is the world's largest steam locomotive while the other is a subway train from Toronto.

Tram

The train's little brother. It's essentially a bus on rails. Some people call it a trolley, especially when referring to one specific trolley...

Tractor

They are usually doing things on farms, though they are sometimes found on city streets.

Harvester

It does exactly as it says.

Construction equipment

Various types of construction equipment handle the respective tasks they were designed to do. For example, bulldozers push things. Front and backhoe loaders carry things. Excavators have a bucket that cuts into the ground, picking up soil. Cranes lift heavy materials. And in-transit concrete mixers... well, you know what happens.

Tank

Heavily armed and used by The Military.

Watercraft

Rowboat

row row row your boat
gently down the stream
merrily merrily merrily merrily
life is but a dream...

Canoe

Popularly used in many cultures throughout time. Not to be confused with the smaller kayak.

Kayak

The canoe's smaller cousin. Its name has Kalaallisut (Greenlandic) origins.

Raft

Any flat structure that is buoyant. Inflatable rafts are popularly used for recreation.

Sailboard

Used for windsurfing.

Sailboat

Any boat that is propelled through sails. There are many types out there.

Sailing ship

Like a sailboat but larger.

Cruise ship

A hotel on the sea! It's got a lot of amenities, ranging from concessions to auditoriums to to even waterslides and go karting tracks!

Ocean liner

Only one of these is in service today, carrying on the long-standing tradition of transporting passengers across the Atlantic Ocean. Other oceans were served as well, though no cruise ships operate on them as of 2023.

Cargo ship

Pretty much the freight-handling equivalent, except there are still many of them.

Ferry

Waterside public transit!

Steamboat

A boat that runs on steam, like Big Boy. Instead of wheels, the steam power drives propellers or paddlewheels.

Tugboat

For its size, it is the most powerful craft afloat. They push and pull larger ships in circumstances where they can't really manoeuvre easily.

Motorboat

One of, if not the most common boat in existence, being exclusively powered by an engine. Perks include going significantly fast, giving them the alternative name "speedboat".

Airboat

Like a motorboat, but it uses an aircraft-like propeller.

Yacht

These medium-sized boats are popular for cruising. Though yachts in the past used sails, many yachts today use an engine.

Warship

The Military likes them.

Aircraft carrier

A floating air base.

Submarine

Unlike other watercraft, they can go underwater independently.

Hovercraft

Not only can they go on water, but on land as well!

Aircraft

Glider

It doesn't need an engine to fly freely, though in most cases, it relies on an airplane for assistance in getting up before its eventual launch.

Parachute

It helps slow down an entity's motion by usually creating drag. This helps create a safe descent to Earth.

Parasail

It's like a parachute, except you're being towed behind a vehicle. Sounds fun!

Hang glider

Kinda reminds me of that one scene from Rio (2011). "Mas que Nada" was the perfect song to play in the background.

Hot air balloon

Essentially you have an envelope containing hot air with a gondola suspended beneath. The reason it flies is because the hot air is less dense than its colder surroundings.

Airplane

i believe i can fly

Seaplane

Some planes can take off from and land on water. Very versatile.

Helicopter

Spacecraft

Rocket

It would be very exciting to see one launch.

Space probe

Essentially they collect relevant scientific information.

Space station

It's like a house in space!
