Tsurumaki Maki
Tsurumaki Maki (弦巻マキ) is a Vocaloid VOICEROID character, and a central pillar in the greater vocal synth family, as one of the older characters both chronologically and textually[1]. Maki is most often in the background, rarely making appearances front-and-center, but has a generally positive reputation. She first debuted on VOICEROID+ in late December of 2010, only being ported to other platforms from 2021 onward starting with CeVIO AI and Synthesizer V, but with a different voice actor from her Voiceroid. Maki is a close colleague and supporter of the up-and-coming star Miyamai Moca, often appearing beside her.

Maki was the mascot of the first VOICEROID to not have censorship, though the voicebank itself was named after its voice provider, Tamiyasu Tomoe. Unlike the first characters all being children, her voicebank can say words like damn, shit, or fuck, but not really[not really], because VOICEROID only supports Japanese.
