Yuzuki Yukari (結月ゆかり) is a Vocaloid character managed by VOCALOMAKETS and Bumpy Factory Corp. She was released for both Vocaloid 3 and VOICEROID+ in December of 2011, as one of the first with a voicebank for both singing and text-to-speech. Yukari was later upgraded for Vocaloid 4 and 6, VOICEROID+EX and 2, and ported to A.I.VOICE, CeVIO, VoiSona, and Seiren Voice. She is notable for having a vast number of Appends, variants, and costumes; 17 voicebanks, 9 official voicebank designs (including Shizuku), collaborations (Melon Yukari, Yukari (Rei) with glasses), and family: Shizuku, a younger brother (unofficial but concensus), and unofficial equivalents of Kizuna Akari's appends.
Yukari proves a good example for multiple different synthesis programs, sharing the same voice actor for 6 different platforms. Her Vocaloid 3 and VOICEROID+ have notably different qualities, with later software leaning more towards the latter, proving sample-based Vocaloid engines to have a very distinct character; Fans of v flower know this well, with Ci flower having a very different voice.
While she doesn't have any character gimmicks like Kizuna Akari, her main strength is in overall quality and versatility, with her original voicebank demo praised for fidelity, similar to GUMI's qualities.
Yuzuki Yukari and Kizuna Akari are closely related characters, but many specific details are intentionally left blank, as is the case for most major Vocaloid characters. Both share a birthday, similar names, and similar meanings to their names. Yukari's name is about connections, whereas Akari's name is about light. She is loosely based on the moon rabbit, with her jacket's hood having long rabbit ear-like pieces hanging off, and the back of her jacket having her primary logo, being a rabbit. She has a secondary icon in a crescent moon.
