The blue whale is a gentle giant that is part of the rorqual family. It is the largest animal ever known to have existed, reaching up to 29.9 metres in length and weighing 199 tonnes. For comparison, that's around the length of a Boeing 737 and the weight of four Boeing 737s. Blue whales are endemic to the Blueverse.
