Gymnastics is a feat of strength, balance, and agility. The finest gymnasts are able to do seemingly impossible tasks on things such as the vault, balance beam, pommel horse, and uneven bars while strutting their stuff on the floor. Some gymnasts tend to twirl a ribbon while others prefer jumping around on the trampoline. The four major divisions of gymnastics are Running, Swimming, Climbing, and Flying.
Since 1983, the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States has been based in Indianapolis.
