Crwth
The crwth is a Welsh bowed lyre, a type of string instrument. It was once played all over Europe. The term crwth comes from Proto-Celtic *krutto-, meaning "rounded", referring to its bulging instrument. Due to there being no English vowels—A, E, I, O, U, and to extent Y—the word is a linguistic curiosity, even receiving the prestigious honour as Wordle's Word of the Day once before its eventual discontinuation.
