diagram of a fishtank showing everything that is important to keeping a good fishtank

fishtank is where the fish live. sometimes fish live in the ocean or a lake or a zoo, but sometimes they can live in fishtank.

origin

people many years ago took fish from bodies of water and brought them into their kitchen and ate them. this was called delicious meals. eventually, after a long time, people wondered how fish acted like before they where brought onto their dinner plate. so, people went to wherever fish live, took them, and put them in a glass with water in it at home. here, people could look into the glass and see what the fish did. usually this was swimming around or pooping. now, after some time, people realized that life in a cup probably sucked and upgraded the fish's home to bigger and bigger cups/bowls/bathtubs until amazingly someone realized that you could make a special glass container for water that was custom made. this was the first fishtank. here, a fish could be put in with water to be seen from the outside. many people from around the world purchase fishtank and put fish in it, not for the purpose of eating, but for enjoying the presence of a wonderful animal in their house to share their lives with. this is called a pet. many people have pets.

inside the tank

inside of a fishtank can be many things. usually, fishtank contains fish. but sometimes it contains things such as shrimp/octopus/snails/worms/bugs/eel/animals/bigger fish/plants and more. along with water, there is usually something at the bottom of the tank, such as dirt or substrate or stones, to trick the plants and animals into thinking that its water outside and not water inside.

in order to keep the water clean for viewing, many people like to put things in the tank that improve the water quality, such as a water filter. this will suck up the poo and pee from the fish and get rid of it. fish tend to pee and poo. :(. people also like to put heaters in their water. this helps the fish stay warm in the winter. you set the temperature of the heater to many temperatures. you can set it to 100 degrees or 90 degrees, or even more. its amazing.

decorations

sometimes fish get bored in the tank. when they get bored they like to nibble and chase the pet shrimp that are also in the tank and make them mad. i dont like it when this happens so i keep my fish happy. my fish like it when they are fed and when there are lots of plants to hide in. i heard some types of fish like it when you tape mirrors to the side of the tank because they dont realize their reflection isn't them and they try to chase it like a dog. its funny. they call it, like, walking your fish, cause they keep swimming forward. but i dont have that. i do, however, have a comic i drew taped to the side of the tank so the fish can enjoy some literature.

fishtank

proof that shrimp do not look like any hunter x hunter character. see chubs? the shrimp is normal and it is eating a green bean

i think you should get a pet fish and get a fishtank. it was a great idea for me to get a fish tank because they are great and i was scared my landlord would get mad at me for having 20 gallons of water in a room with nice hardwood floors but i dont think he remembers the 100s of apartment complexes he owns and their individual rules on pets, so i dont think he cared when he came over for inspection. he even gave them a look! wow! i hate that guy though, it took him 3 months to fix our stove top :(

shrimp

some people call it a shrimp tank because we have pet shrimp

chubs

chubs just asked me to add "gon and killua and kurapika and leorio as fish or perhaps shrimp" but i wont do that because thye arent shrimp. ive seen all of the anime hunter x hunter and there wasnt any scenes where gon killua kurapika or leorio where shrimp so i wont do it.
