Leopard seals (Hydrurga leptonyx) are large pinniped apex predators native to Antarctica. Their only natural predator is the orca. While their ferocious nature may make them seem dangerous to humans and thus a prime focus of total seal extinction, leopard seals actually display the noteworthy trait of hunting other seals. And while the nerpa lives far from the Antarctic, it is the smallest seal, making it the perfect prey size. Perhaps leopard seals aren't as bad as they seem...

Leopard seals are introduced in the Ice World. While other seals in the game are shy and timid, leopard seals will attack the player and therefore must be stomped on.
