Obtaining
I'm not sure how you're supposed to obtain this naturally. These trees don't spawn anywhere naturally.
Breaking
Maybe if you planted it and broke the leaves, it would give you more of these. Hey, it turns out it just drops regular rubber saplings.
Post-generation
At some point within the past few months, weird stuff started happening to my inventory. I keep a backup drive on my person, but I haven't been able to plug it into anything, so. I checked the tooltip one time and apparently this sapling just appeared in it.
I think the sapling I had was one-of-a-kind because it's been weeks and I haven't found a second one.
Usage
Like other saplings, you can plant a Sacred Rubber Sapling and it will grow into a Sacred Rubber Tree, especially with the help of a little bone meal.
I recommend standing as far as you can if you do this.
Housing
The tree that spawned from this sapling makes for a pretty good house. I imagine it's not good for flammability, though. Rubber repels fire, right? I'm gonna check if this thing is flammable.

History
Day 1 (Planting)
Today I planted the sapling and force-grew it with some bone meal I had in my inventory. Needless to say, I didn't expect this at all.
My first reaction was just about what you'd expect. First impression, "What the fuck?" Second impression, "I could probably make a base out of this."
I'm not sure what direction to go for this. Should I dig into the tree and hollow it out? Should I make a platform along the outside of a tree? The second feels like the more nostalgic option, so I think I'm gonna do that. Something in me wants to say, "Not gonna use all that wood? What a waste!", but let's not get too greedy yet.
Day 2
This is what the top of the tree looks like from a distance.
Today I'm just gathering stuff. The area around the tree is kind of a sparse forest on the shore, there's this big mountainous area nearby and a village. I think I saw a magical forest nearby too? It's super high up though and I don't feel like climbing. There's a really nice river that curls around the tree spot. Might make a few boats and explore.
I threw some torches down at the base of the tree, so I guess this is home now.
Trivia
- I kind of don't like my name. (Not "Vandalism on The Wiki Camp 2", that's a good name. I mean my real name.) I could change my name to Sacred Rubber Sapling.
