User:Ndnprct3/TTS
Hey! Do you wanna use a TTS voice that's unique to The Wiki Camp instead of a TTS that's commonly used? (Mainly because it imitates the voice of a fellow competitor from said camp?)
Feel free to use my TTS! (I like to call it ndnprct3000.) This is mainly an alternative unique-to-here TTS for anyone who wants to synthesize text-to-speech audio for use on the wiki.
This is an ElevenLabs professional voice clone. So in order to use it, you have to have an ElevenLabs account, and be comfortable using ElevenLabs. You also have to provide me the email you used for your account.
If you want my opinion on AI voices, essentially, I think they're only ethical if the voice in question has consented to its usage, kinda like any other TTS. Since this is my voice, I'm giving my consent for it to be used in this manner.
You also should be either a friend I know or a fellow competitor (or ex-competitor) in the camp. (If a competitor can vouch for you, that could be fine too.)
Or maybe you have a decent amount of edits on the wiki and I've seen you around casually in the Discord or in VCs, then I miiiight give it to you if you ask. If we've talked before, then I'm probably more likely to say yes.
So if you're just a random person who came from the Tumblr or whatever, and you don't have a history of doing stuff here... If you really need my TTS to read something, maybe ask me or someone with access.
So to be clear...
- Friend, or competitor / ex-competitor in the camp: I'll probably just give it to you no questions asked.
- Someone who meets the above criteria can vouch for you: I'm pretty likely to give it to you.
- We've talked before: Maybe! (More likely if we've VC'ed together.)
- You have a lot of edits on the wiki already: Maybe!
- You're casually talking in the Discord a lot: Maybe!
These stack. The more of these apply to you, the more likely I am to give it to you.
If you're using it for something, it should only be for Wiki Camp purposes.
If you want to mess around with it for fun, or test it out to see if it's something you wanna use, that's fine too. To me, that doesn't count as using it for something.
If you just wanna babble with nonsensical sentences and make incoherent noises with my voice, feel free. In fact, I encourage that. I would just prefer those only be sent to either me or in the Wiki Camp server, rather than anywhere else.
So to be clear, I only want audio made from this to be either on the Wiki or on the Wiki Camp Discord.
In addition, I would like any audio created with this to be clear that it's not actually me speaking.
Do this any way you want. Put "TTS" or "AI" somewhere in the file name, or disclose that you're using the TTS somewhere. As long as it's clear, you're good.
If uploading to the wiki, you can just put it in the Category:Ndnprct3000 category.
Fit all this criteria and want access? Send me a DM on Discord, or ping me on the Wiki Camp Discord, and I might send you a link! (Again, you have to provide me your email.)
I'm very lax with what's said with my voice, so don't worry too much about what you make it say. For a general rule of thumb, if it's allowed under Wiki Camp rules, it's allowed with my voice.
My TTS is also on a whitelist. Meaning that I reserve the right to refuse access or take away access.
Tips and tricks!
- Does the TTS not say something in the way you want? ElevenLabs has a voice changer feature that lets you have full precise control over my voice clone. Feel free to use that.
- I don't recommend putting in long text. Instead, cut the text up into shorter pieces and edit them back together. You can regenerate the same text two extra times for free, so if something sounds strange, you can regenerate that small section.
- Try messing around with the parameters! You can change the speed, stability, similarity, and style exaggeration.
- The text to speech does work with multiple languages!
Demos! Just so you can hear how it sounds.
