The Aspect Mafia, sometimes referred to as the Jackknives or Jacknife Mafia is a highly organized crime related society and criminal organization based in New York City.
In New York, the organization is among one of the fiercest forms of authority and it's largest producer of crime, dominating the American criminal underground. The Aspect Mafia is known for it's eccentric but extremely dangerous members and the harsh punishments they deal out to all those who oppose them. The organization's name is derived from the word "Aspect", which apparently translates to the phrase "Double Death" in the Carapacian-English Language.
The Aspect Mafia Primarily makes its money by selling and trafficking money and drugs to the desperate people of New York City, along with willing buyers who pay fortunes to resell their product. They also frequently use their immense wealth to bypass the law by bribing high-profile politicians and lawmakers. This has allowed them to continue their business in New York without any resistance from the regional or federal governments of the United Normal World. Few meaningful opposition parties have managed to show any success in halting the spread of the Aspect Mafia's influence, such as The Outlaw, Congresswoman Opheee, Senator Macroware Sr., and the Detectives Heroics Agency. Although leaders like Opheee have attempted to get the World Government to persecute the organization for it's many crimes, many of it's elected officials, such as Hubert Cumbledumble have blocked such attempts.
Originally, the mafia was founded by and was underneath the leadership of "Sword" English for nearly fourty years since its inception. However, English was recently defeated and killed in battle by The Outlaw. In the event of his death, English entrusted his closest highest-ranking officers to appoint his son, "Maledfwlch" English to the position as leader of the Aspect Mafia. Although other criminal organizations would've simply disregarded these instructions and had taken the opportunity to seize control, the Aspect Mafia underlings were fiercely loyal to English, and as such obliged to his last will. This however would prove to be a grave mistake, as the Aspect Mafia has gone into a slump underneath "Maledfwlch"'s control.
