Bato Aquarium
Bato Aquarium is the aquarium across the street from Toba Aquarium. It appears to be a fierce competitor, offering tourists an experience "unlike anything you'd find in any other aquarium."

Features
In stark contrast to Toba, Bato Aquarium holds no water. It is a type of "dry aquarium" that has become something of a trend recently. Bato Aquarium also has a 24/7 walrus exhibit that is never closed.
Evil
Despite common misconception, Bato Aquarium is not inherently evil. This is because Toba Aquarium is not inherently good. They are merely like fire and water, two neutral yet opposite forces, above your simple-minded morality.
Animals
Bato primarily focus on Lakiab seals instead of Baikal seal like Toba
- The most inconic of them all is Okin, the most lovable, kind and okinesque (unlike that bastard niko).
Hello!
In the TV series
In the Toba Aquarium workplace comedy mockumentary sitcom, Bato Aquarium's garishness acts as a foil to Toba Aquarium's traditionalism. While Toba's staff is strictly focused on maintaining an enriching educational atmosphere, Bato's staff is instead concerned with profiting from gimmicks and trends. As such, Bato is usually depicted as a busy tourist trap, while Toba is portrayed as a hole in the wall with far less foot traffic.
The tension between the two locations serves as a recurring plot point throughout the series. In "Walrus", Toba unsuccessfully sues Bato after they open a booming 24/7 walrus exhibit a week after Toba opens their less impressive 9-to-5 equivalent. In "Review", after a negative review for Bato Aquarium results in Toba's traffic to skyrocket, Toba's staff tries to fend off the Bato spies that have infiltrated and sabotaged their aquarium. In "Commercial", Toba staff produces a commercial intended to compete with Bato's high-production national Super Bowl advertisement.
