Coal

Coal is a sedimentary rock that is mostly carbon. It is highly cherished in society (providing around 22% of US electricity in 2021) as one of the most widely used fuels, despite being a fossil fuel and therefore unrenewable. Coal is also given to bad guys like Niko every Christmas, and is Big Boy's favourite food.

Its lookalike, charcoal, is essentially burnt wood.
