Curious George is a real one, the embodiment of human curiosity in the form of a cartoon simian. Though the settings of the city and the countryside have a stark contrast in his TV show, it more or so suggests an entire spectrum of curiosity. One day, you, like George himself or the Man with the Yellow Hat, could be fishing on the lakeshore and wondering what kinds of fish and other lifeforms dwell in the littoral zone. The other day, you'd be on a seesaw and suddenly wonder how a lever works. Such scenarios all bring that same spark of curiosity, and that's what makes Curious George's show resonate even to an adult like me.
