Explain/Rotating CSS cubes

CSS has the ability to make an element rotate in three dimensions. When the CSS plugin was added to the wiki, it was only a matter of time until this feature was discovered (with the first page being Cube), and then promptly used in a load of pages because it's funny. You can theoretically create any three-dimensional polygon — Team 17 has a dodecahedron — but the cube is the most iconic.
The template Cube allows for the easy deployment of rotating CSS cubes.
The category Pages containing a rotating css cube contains most pages with this feature.
