Inuit are Indigenous peoples that live in the Arctic. They are known for their traditional practice of hunting seals. This practice became popular among Canadians, to the point where the government named the caribou, a specific type of baby seal, their national animal, because killing seals just felt soooo good.
The term "Inuit" refers to three or more people of the same group. The singular term is Inuk, and the dual term is Inuuk. Use the terms wisely. Don't say "They are Inuit," instead say "They are Inuk."
